In "The Tutor and the Swindler," a smart, funny, and believable young man, Thomas Trucks, finds himself the new tutor to aging and suspiciously amoral, swindler. In order to recover some of his stolen fortune from a swindler, the wise and gullible Thomas teams up with aging, and reluctant British lady, Pamela Page. But the new teacher's blind loyalty to the swindler backfires when Page betrays him on several occasions, and he is fired for his incompetence. The swindler hires another tutor, David Banner, to tutor Thomas, but David proves to be more dislikable than Thomas' previous tutor. The movie is comical, witty, and the acting is great - even if some of the parts were a bit over the top..
