In this dark comedy by Czech writer Bohumil Hrabal, a young boy who runs away from home to visit his grandmother and her husband in order to convince her to have an affair with him. He succeeds but in doing so he falls in love with her and as he becomes more aware of their hidden relationship he begins to question their motives and the true nature of their "fatal" togetherness. With some excellent set design and a terrific screenplay this movie has everything you could possibly want in a video about a boy meeting old folks and falling in love with them..
