A recent episode of the popular reality TV show "The Real World" featured a young woman named Hayden Panettiere as the newest member of his new married couple's household. While on camera, Hayden seemed quite cocky and arrogant as he mockingly called his new bride "honey pie" and asked her what college she graduated from. Hayden's father, Jack Panettiere, was clearly enjoying the attention that his son was getting, telling reporters that Hayden was living proof that young people can find real love and get married for real reasons. And yet, when we look back at the real world, does his statement ring true for the vast majority of young people who are not guided by their parents' expectations and who enter into marriage with no real plan?
