"Old Young and Modern Love" by Beverly Barton is about a foul-mouthed old woman who loves to tell her granny she's having an affair with her son's friend. It also chronicles the progress of the old, young mother's "young boy" from childhood to adulthood. At one point, he even tells his granny he's not happy about her leaving him because she reminds him of his "wild child." The old woman even advises him to get a new job so he can't "get caught."
