Aired on A&E - Documentary is a reality show that chronicles the relationships of a mother and her two gay teenage sons. The show chronicles their journey trying to understand each other while also dealing with being "different" in every way. Dylan (Chloe Grant), an outgoing and beautiful young girl, and David (Michael Chiklis), a straight boy, are always forced to fight off the disapproval of their mom's close friends. The two eventually become best friends in the end but before they can get too far there is an unfortunate incident involving David which makes them vow to each other to finish school and get a gay relationship on their own.
