The German minx banged up the British in the first World War, so it's only natural that this breed of dogs would have a contribution to the world in the form of tattoos. It's a very popular type of design among German-speaking people (and Scandinavians) and many people these days have chosen to have their name tattooed on their necks, foreheads, chests or even faces. I was a little worried about this because I've seen pictures where the person had a name or a symbol tattooed on his face but there seems to be some kind of tribal markings over the mouth area, which I find very disturbing, like some sort of scary-faced tattoo. But then I remembered that most tribal markings over the face are inlaid, so the actual design isn't just an outline. Anyway, I ended up with my German Shepherd named Diesel and went ahead and got him a full sleeve, which you can see on the right-hand side of the page below..
