My first steaming encounter with Steinem was when I saw her at a Hollywood premier's party and went to buy a ticket. After the movie I went back to my friend's house and knocked on his door, we had a great time hanging out. The next day I went over to his house and knocked on his door again and got invited into his house that night. It was a great birthday gift, I will never forget that.
